Deborah Teen "Debbie" Sheil passed away Saturday January 2, 2021 at the age of 62, after a long and courageous battle with the rare brain disorder Primary Progressive Aphasia. She was born December 19, 1958 in Des Moines, Iowa to James and Dorothy (Chen) Sheil. She is survived by her father James, her son and the joy of her life Michael, brothers Bernie and John "Tim", and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy, paternal grandparents Bud and Irma Henry, maternal grandparents Chi Shih and Feng Sien Chen, Aunt Jennifer Perry, Aunt Teen Carlson, Uncle Ray Carlson, Aunt Betty Hsu, Uncle T.V. Hsu, Aunt Helen Tian, Uncle John Tian, Uncle Bernard Chen and Uncle Buddy Henry.
Debbie graduated from University City High School in 1977, went on to attend college, worked for many years as a medical office administrator and ultimately became a pharmacy tech. She was a loving and loyal daughter and sister, a devoted mother and a caring friend. She was a compassionate lover of animals, who especially adored her feline children Nigel and Dumpster. She had a keen sense of humor, a ready laugh and a strong and determined will. She loved to cook, attend Cardinals games and Eagles concerts.
Services are pending at this time, and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
