John "Jack" V. Schmidt

SCHMIDT, John “Jack” V., 80, Baptized into the hope of Christ’s Resurrection on Tuesday, April 23, 2013. Dear son of the late Louis and Amelia Schmidt on August 23, 1932; beloved husband of Betty J. (nee Ferrario) and the late Joan (nee Dougherty) Schmidt; dearest father of Carl, Kathy (Mark) Cummings, and Linda (Philip) Wilbanks; dear step-father of Kory and Kevin Jacobs; dear grandfather of Zachary Wilbanks; dear step-grandfather of Jessica Wilbanks, Philip Wilbanks, Christopher (Kelsey) Jacobs, Dustin Jacobs, and Jacob Dalton; dear brother of Margaret Brightfield, Ruth Harrigan, Shirley Piskulich, the late Paul Schmidt, Marion Fluck, and Lucille Droege; dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend to many; and best buddy to Rusty and Rocky.

Jack was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion and was an Assistant Scuba Diving Instructor for PADI.

SERVICES: Visitation 9-11am Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church 5130 Wilson Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110. Interment with Military Honors in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. If desired, Masses or contributions to the American Kidney Foundation or Sick & Elderly Program.
