Joseph Patrick Stempel passed away June 26, 2012. Born in New Baden, IL, on March 17, 1923, the son of Harry and Katherine (Meyer) Stempel. Loving husband of the late Norma Jean Stempel. Dear father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Mr. Stempel was an Army veteran of WWII and was a retired maintainence man for St. Louis County Parks Department.
Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Friday, June 29, at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd. where the family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
Interment, with full military honors, in National Cemetery, Jefferson Barracks.
