In Memory of
Paul L. Merlotti
September 14, 1919 – February 13, 2017
Selfless, generous, caring, thoughtful – these are just a few words that come to mind when thinking of who Paul was as a dad, sibling, grandpa, uncle, cousin, and friend. There was never any doubt that all he wanted was the best for the people around him.
Whether it was Christmas, Thanksgiving, or simply a Sunday dinner, he insisted we celebrate, because every day he could spend with family and friends was truly a blessed day. His faith in God was unwavering. Even in his final hours when he was unable communicate, he would still awake from his sleep saying the Hail Mary. If you had a need that required a prayer, Paul was your man, rosaries being his specialty.
Paul’s love and thoughtfulness is a reminder to all about how one should live his life. Today we pray for Paul that he is in heaven with his wife, Irene. Today we celebrate Paul’s life, and toast (with a highball) to the life he lived.
~Remembrance by Andrew P. Hoffman, Grandson-in-law
