Timothy James Moriarty, age 90, of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away on Monday November 19, 2018 in Fenton Missouri. Timothy was born July 5, 1928 in Saint Louis, Missouri to Julia Moriarty (nee Fox) and Timothy Moriarty.
Tim is survived by; daughter Maureen Moriarty; son Daniel Moriarty; son-in-law Tim Anderson; and daughter-in-law Heather Moriarty; granddaughter Julia (Joseph Puleo) Anderson, grandson Matthew Minnigerode, grandson Trey Minnigerode, grandson Derek Moriarty, granddaughter Erin Moriarty, grandson Tristan Moriarty and very special friend Dorothy Yates.
Tim was preceded in death by his wife Phyllis Jean Moriarty (nee Anderson); daughter Kimberly Anderson; father Timothy Moriarty and mother Julia Moriarty.
Tim was very proud of his Irish heritage and being a first generation American. He graduated from South Side Catholic High School. After high school Tim joined the Army serving in the Korean War. Following his military service Tim went to and graduated from Saint Louis University. He married Phyllis and was happily married until Phyllis passed away. While grieving the passing of Phyllis, Tim met a very special friend in Dorothy Yates who journeyed with and supported he and the family through out the years.
A memorial visitation for Tim will be held Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, Saint Louis, MO 63125. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 6 pm in the chapel. Private inurnment in Mount Hope Cemetery.
