

Don was born on July 1st, 1945 and spent his formative years in Newton. He attended college at both Boston University as an undergraduate and Boston College as a graduate. He had a broad career with many different roles: a teacher, owner of his own advertising agency, a marketing consultant, a jazz musician and an author. Most recently, he fulfilled a lifelong dream of writing, publishing 2 novels. He approached all of these endeavors with drive and dedication, inspiring all who worked with him.
Devoted to his family and friends, Don was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced. Above all, he made everyone laugh.
In his free time, Don enjoyed listening to jazz, playing guitar, and watching classic movies. He played in a Jazz trio at many a Sunday Brunch. Don was always eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others. He was an active member of his community, volunteering for various causes and organizations.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Lyn, his children, Ali, Mandy, Jon and Lee, and his grandchildren, Julian, Casey, Jack and Ellie. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
