Beloved husband of Lorna (Linsky) Goldberg for 53 years.
Devoted father of Scott Goldberg and his wife Christy of Seabrook, NH and Michael Goldberg and his wife Tiffany of Parkland, FL.
Cherished grandfather of Evan, Ayla, and Blake Goldberg and Mackenzie Goldberg.
Loving brother of Nancy (Goldberg) Aldredge and her husband Bill of College Station, TX.
Dear son of the late Sam and Lil Goldberg.
He grew up in Framingham, graduating from Framingham North HS, also attending Wentworth Institute of Technology and Bentley College. He raised his family in Peabody, MA.
He most recently worked for Johnson O’Hare and previously Mordecai Chase as an Account Sales Executive. He volunteered for Haven for Hunger, which provided backpacks of food weekly to those students in need.
Having played semi-pro baseball and hockey, he also enjoyed basketball and bowling.
Harvey was a man of great reason and integrity. He was a friend to everyone. Often striking up conversation in the middle of anywhere, his encounters would begin as strangers, but left as friends, talking about their love for their families, work, sport, or just about life itself. Harvey loved a great beer for himself, always enjoying different types of local brews from places near and far. He could light up a room with his infectious laughter and his sarcastic jokes.
He especially cherished his time spent with his grandchildren. He took great enjoyment in watching them partake in their hobbies, achievements and endeavors. He was always a source of support and encouragement which will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to consider a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Temple Ahavath Achim of Gloucester, or Temple Tifereth Israel of Peabody.
Following the interment, the family welcomes everyone to join them at Teresa's Grill Nineteen (The Pavillion), 20 Elm Street Unit B (RT 62), North Reading, MA.
The first night of Shiva will be observed at Teresa's Grill Nineteen, on Tuesday, September 19. Shiva for Wednesday and Thursday will be held at the Goldberg’s home from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. In addition, visiting hours will be Wednesday and Thursday at the Goldberg home from 1:00 pm to 4:00 p.m.
