Lauren B. Swartz

Lauren B. Swartz – of Peabody, entered into rest on Thursday, December 31, 2020, at the age of 72. She was the beloved wife of Marc, devoted mother of Jonathan, loving sister of the late Sondra (Barkin) Lynch, and dear daughter of the late Samual & Elizabeth “Libby” Barkin.

She grew up in West Newton, MA and graduated from Newton North High School. She met the love of her life, Marc, at Massachusetts Bay Community College. She was a dedicated teacher for almost 40 years in the Winthrop and Peabody school systems. Lauren taught students with special needs while working at the Higgins Middle School. She enjoyed baking (especially cakes and kugel for her friends and family) and cherished spending time with her devoted husband and loving son. Lauren thoroughly loved helping her son with his homework and then going into her kitchen to cook an amazing dinner for her family. She will be dearly missed.

Due to regulation imposed by the Coronavirus Pandemic a private graveside service will be held at Temple Beth Shalom Memorial Park, Danvers, MA.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of ones choice.
