

Lillian E. (Paisner) Sher, age 93 of Salem, formerly of Swampscott, died on Friday, April 13, 2012 in the Grosvenor Park Nursing Home in Salem. Born in Chelsea, daughter of the late Jacob and Mary (Roll) Paisner. She was the beloved wife for 70 years to the late Hyman I. Sher. Devoted mother of Sandra Sher Griffel of Marblehead, Joan S., and her husband Dr. Melvyn Kramer of Hudson, and the late Gerald H. Sher. Sister of the late Gerald Paisner. Cherished grandmother of David and Peggy Griffel, Lisa Griffel-Perroncello and Joe Perroncello, Lauren and Anthony Cerullo, Beth and Ross Mazer, Alison and David Wilks, Andrew T. Kramer and adored “Nana Lil” of 11 great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank all of the staff at the nursing home for the loving care and kindness they gave to Lillian. Lillian truly loved and participated in all of the social activities for four plus years at Grosvenor Park. Services at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, Salem-Swampscott line on Monday (today), April 16, 2012 at 1 PM. Interment in the Chebra Kadisha of Chelsea Cemetery, Woburn. Memorial Observance at the home of Sandra Sher Griffel following the interment on Monday until 8 PM and on Tuesday 6-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in her memory may be donated to the Grosvenor Park, Resident Fund, Attn: Nancy Escalada or Barbara Lasovick, 7 Loring Hills Avenue, Salem, MA 01970 or to the Temple Emanu-El Rabbi’s Discretionary Fund, 393 Atlantic Avenue, Marblehead, MA 01945.
