Lois (Herskowitz) Black – of Peabody, entered into rest on Tuesday afternoon, May 6, 2025 at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Black. Devoted mother of Debra J. Sullivan and her husband Matthew of Thousand Oaks, CA. Cherished grandmother of Connor Sullivan. Dear sister of the late Sandra Herskowitz and loving daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel (Rashewski) Herskowitz.
Lois graduated from the University of Connecticut, with the class of 1968. She was a retired Dietician for the Hamilton-Wenham Public Schools. Lois was a life member of Hadassah and a dedicated member of Congregation Sons of Israel in Peabody.
A graveside service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery, 98 Canterbury Drive, Peabody on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to Hadassah Northeast, 1320 Centre Street, Newton Centre, MA 02459.
