Robert S. Jacobs

Born in Boston, Robert was the son of the late Bertram and Gertrude (Hart) Jacobs. He was raised in Boston and was resident of Peabody for 30 years. He enlisted in the United States Army and served his country during World War II.

Prior to his retirement, Robert worked as a salesman in the local furniture industry. He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Lodge and was past President of Temple Beth Shalom in Peabody.

In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons: Paul Jacobs and his wife Janine of Shelburne, VT and Stephen Jacobs of Colorado Springs, CO. He was the brother of Bette Lipman of Hilton Head Island, SC. Also survived by his grandchildren: Russell Jacobs, Margot Jacobs, David Jacobs, James Gunther and Sasha Gunther. He was the father-in-law of the late Rhonda Jacobs.

Services at the Brooksby Village Chapel, Brooksby Village Dr. PEABODY on Tuesday at 11:00AM. Interment following at Temple Beth Shalom Memorial Park, Danvers. Memorial Observance following the burial will be announced at the service. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Robert’s name may be sent to the Brooksby Village Benevolent Care Fund, 300 Brooksby Village Dr. Peabody, MA 01960.
