KANOSKY, Sandra (Lavine) – of Marblehead, MA and Pompano Beach, FL, formerly of Lynn, entered into rest on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Selwyn Kanosky. Devoted mother of Jan Kanosky Nagler and her husband, Josh Nagler and late Robert Kanosky and late Richard Kanosky. Cherished grandmother of Christina (Kanosky) Langford, Madeline Nagler, and Jack Nagler. Dear daughter of the late Harry Lavine & Frances (Finkle) Lavine. She was affectionately known for her warmth, optimistic spirit, and wonderful sense of humor. It is no wonder that she built countless lifelong friendships. Beyond her friends and family came her love for animals. She volunteered at animal shelters, advocated for legislation to protect wildlife, and gave unabashed affection to virtually every dog she passed on the street. Above all, she was good to others, caring and kind, and generous beyond compare. A funeral service will be held at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, Salem on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Burial will be at Temple Emanu-El Memorial Park, 8 Buxton Road, Danvers. Memorial Observance following the burial will be held at Temple Emanu-El 393 Atlantic Ave, Marblehead. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA).
