Shirley (Myerson) Kessler – of Salem, formerly of Marblehead, entered into rest on Monday, January 7, 2019 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of Joseph Kessler. Devoted mother of Cheryl Yoffe and her husband Robert, Rhonda Pouladian and her husband Jacob, and Marc Kessler and his wife Leah. Cherished grandmother of Dan & Sara Pouladian, Aaron & Phuong Kessler, Tamara & Shawn Bushey, Josh Yoffe and Ariel Yoffe. Great-grandmother of Ava and Jake Pouladian and Phoebe Kessler. The loving sister of Robert & Jackie Myerson, the late Albert Myerson, the late Evelyn Levine and the late Elsie Pastan. Dear daughter of the late Isaac and Aida (Chansky) Myerson.
Shirley grew up in Chelsea, MA, graduated from Chelsea High School, and raised her family in Marblehead, MA. She co-owned nursing homes with her husband, Joseph. Shirley loved cooking, baking, dancing and spending time with her family.
A funeral service for Shirley will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 1:00PM at Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Street, Salem, MA 01970 with interment to follow at Temple Sinai Cemetery, 16 Buxton Road, Danvers, MA 01923
Shiva will be held following services from 4-8PM at the Village at Vinnin Square Clubhouse, Salem, MA 01970.
