

Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Louis and Edith (Gerber) Strome. He attended Lynn Schools and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School Class of 1941. He later attended and graduated from Northeastern University in 1947 and Illinois College of Podiatry in 1951. He enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country during World War II.
Dr. Strome was a practicing podiatrist in Lynn since 1952. He was past President of the Massachusetts Podiatric Medical Association and past Chairman of Division III Mass. Podiatry Society. He was a past member of the D.A.V. and late member of Temple Beth El, where he served as past President of the Coral Group.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his children: Sandra Spaneas, Stephen Strome and his wife Holly, Marsha Gerber, Diane Slater and her husband Paul, Alan Gerber and his wife Elizabeth, and the late Scott Strome. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Matthew & Danielle Slater, Elyssa & Joshua Levy, Michelle & David Hendler, Rachel Gerber and Stuart Strome and 2 great grandchildren, Shira and Yehuda. He was the brother of the late Pearl Brown.
Services at Congregation Shirat Hayam, 55 Atlantic Ave, SWAMPSCOTT on Friday (TODAY) at 10:30AM. Interment following at Congregation Shirat Hayam Cemetery (Beth El Section) Peabody. Memorial Observance will be announced at the services.
