He lived in Lebanon then moved to Salem where he attended South Salem High. He graduated from South Salem High School and then went into the Army. He entered into the US Army on October 12, 1966. He served honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War and served as a military police man. Arnold loved to go camping, fishing, hunting, and working on cars. He worked at the Norpack Cannery until he retired then he moved to Turner.
He is survived by Sister Bernice Otta of Lebanon, Sister Darlene Smith and Husband Roy Smith of Amity, eight nieces and nephews and eight great-nieces and nephews and three great-great nieces and nephews and he was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Velma. He will be greatly missed by his family. A funeral service honoring his life will be held on Saturday, August 29, at 11am at the Belcrest Memorial park Mausoleum.
