Bertha Irene Lofgren Thompson, 98 of Salem, Oregon passed away on December 27, 2017. She was born in Manton, Michigan on February 22, 1919. Bertha married Robert Edwin Thompson on July 12, 1934. She worked ironing clothes for Mr. McDowell and as a homemaker and housewife. She enjoyed crafts, playing piano and singing in church and board games.
Bertha is survived by her children; Martha Thompson of Oregon, Lois (Roger) LeFever of Oregon, two daughter-in-laws; AnnaMae Thompson and Beverly Thompson, 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and by her half-brother, Dave Coon. She was preceded in death by her children; Robert Thompson, James Thompson, David Thompson and Verna King as well as by her siblings; Kenneth Lofgren, Lyle Lofgren, and Harold Lofgren.
Graveside urn placement will take place at Cherry Grove Cemetery in Wexford County, Michigan.
