Betty Schandy of Salem, Oregon passed away on March 22, 2022 at the age of 93. She was born and raised in Salina, Kansas. She married Mack Earl Nelson and relocated to Hendersonville, North Carolina. They had 4 children there before Mack passed away in 1957. Betty eventually married again, to George Schandy and they all moved to Salem.
Betty’s home was the place to be for all occasions and celebrations. Her family is very grateful for all of the wonderful memories made there. Betty always made sure everyone felt welcomed and loved.
Betty was preceded in death by both of her husbands and two of her sons, Alvin and Nicky. She is survived by her daughter Sandra, her son Danny and many other family members who will remember her with love in their hearts.
