2021.
He was born in Portland, Oregon on January 30, 1959 to Eleanor Kay Sielicky and Roger Sielicky. He graduated from Sprague High School, received his Bachelor’s Degree from University of Oregon, and later graduated from Willamette Law School.
While in law school, Chris lost his beloved sister Theresa which sparked his desire to help women who experience domestic violence. Right out of law school, Chris passed the Oregon State Bar and went to work for Marion-Polk Legal Aid in Salem where he worked for almost three decades, he was able to fulfill his passion of family law. In 2018, Chris received the Joyce Ann Harpole Award, a nominated based award given to an attorney who demonstrates positive community involvement, personal and professional integrity, among other outstanding characteristics that help them stand out in the legal community. While Law was his career, his passions also included serving lunch at the Union Gospel Mission every Wednesday, organizing fundraising events for the Center for Hope and Safety and the Adult Congenital Heart Association, riding his bicycle, watching Oregon Duck football games, and being with his family. Chris had a love for classic cars, watches, and painting water colored fish. Chris’s most memorable traits were his (not always good) dad jokes, posting on social media the Bird of the Day, and what “treasures” he found on his bike ride that day (typically screws and washers).
He was married to Linae Sielicky on August 13, 1988. He was survived by his wife Linae, his daughter Alexx Sanchez, her husband and stepdaughter Rocky and Rikyha Sanchez, his son, Zachary Sielicky, and his wife Taylor Maxfield.
A memorial service for Chris will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Edwards, Howell, Doerksen at 11:00AM and will then have a celebration of life at Taproot Lounge and Café beginning at 1:00PM for friends and family.
