Emily was born on December 30, 1915 in Dickinson, North Dakota, to Frank Nadvornik and Ann Vrana both from Czechoslovakia. Emily was the first generation Czechoslovakian to live in Dickinson, North Dakota. She spoke fluently in both English and Czechoslovakian.
In 1931, Emily moved to Salem, Oregon where she went to college and met the love of her life Earl M. Hall. They got married in 1938. During World War II she did her part as a nurse helping wounded soldiers.
Emily had many passions in life which included playing violin, loved cooking, and held a lifetime membership with “The Willamette Chapter of the Oregon Council; of the Blind.” She will be forevor missed.
