Emma grew up in Siletz, Oregon from birth to her early junior high years. The family moved to Salem, Oregon. She graduated from North Salem High School. She furthered her education in the areas of nursing and office administration. After restoration of the Siletz Tribe, she served on the Education and Health Committees. She worked and retired from S.A.I.F. Corporation.
A great part and joy of Emma's life was her family. She had eight children: Larry, Barbara, Roberta, Janet, Diane, Terry, Tyee and Sonia. She has 25 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She always said, "I bought this house with a big yard for kids to run, play and have fun in."
She enjoyed using her talents to gift and bless others. Her home was always open to friends and family. She was available to help those in need.
She enjoyed watching old western and mystery movies and game shows. She was life long reader.
Emma honored and respected her parents and elders. A legacy she has kept and passed on from her parents is living the Christian Faith.
