His career in Oregon started with the Attorney General’s Office in the Criminal Justice Department. He went on to work for Multnomah ESD, taught at the BPST and was a Hearings Officer for various state agencies.
At the time of his death he was working at Dave Hilzemann’s Law Office. They knew how much of a Chicago Bears fan he was and knew if the team won Wayne would wear his Chicago Bear tie into work the next morning.
