It is with great sadness and sorrow the passing of my beloved sister, Kodye’s (KJ) death on July 5, 2025 where KJ surrendered her soul to Jesus. All her pain and suffering is over and she’s at peace and safely home in Heaven. Throughout her life Kodye maintained a deep commitment to her faith, love and courage with Jesus. No matter the circumstances in life KJ was a free spirit, intelligent, independent with a strong will to survive. She was consistent in her prayers, giving hope and forgiveness to others. We had beautiful tapestry of memories we shared and unwavering of love with one another throughout our lives. She was a musician earlier in life (with the most beautiful angelic voice); worked at Morningside Assisted Living; helped her husband while he maintained Mini Golden Inns in Hungry Horse Montana; and wrote beautiful poetry and always giving hope and prayers to others. Her light shines bright upon all of us that knew her soul. May her perpetual light shine upon her now that she has entered eternal rest and peace. KJ is survived by her husband, Rick Vansickle and her sister, Joan Oelschlager.
