Lloyd served in the US Army under General Patton, in France and Germany, during WWII. After the war, he studied for and received his private pilot's license. He owned and rebuilt more than one private airplane and flew privately most of his life.
After moving to Salem from Roseburg, Oregon, he worked as a mechanic for Evergreen Helicopter in McMinnville, Oregon and retired from Western Helicopter out of Newburg, Oregon.
Lloyd had three children by his first wife, Sharon Hersher. He was remarried to Helen Elizabeth (Lynn) Schaden in 1976.
He is survived by: Brother, Wilson Roberts- Camas Valley; Daughter, Glenda Henrickson-Dallas, Son, Martin Roberts-Dallas; Grandchildren, Terra Floyd-Dallas; Jeffrey Henrickson-Dallas; Randy Charpentier-Salem; Michael Charpentier-Salem; Michael Charpentier-Dallas. He is also survived by 20 Great Grandchildren.
