Michael Anthony Rice was born in Portland, Oregon to Edward and Cecelia Rice, he was the oldest son of eight children. It is with broken hearts that we say goodbye to our brother Mike. He will always be loved. Michael was humble and kind, not drawing attention to himself, but when he opened up he was a genuine man. He was a dedicated hard worker at Norpac Foods for the last 17 years, looking forward to retirement in a few years. He loved the outdoors, especially Silver Creek Falls, the coast, camping, biking and music, especially rock and roll. He never forgot a family birthday. He will be deeply missed by his family: Mary Levy, Thomas Rice, Alice Ghiglia, Bernie Rice, Ruth Kobel, Richard Rice, Kevin Rice, numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church. Interment will be at City View Cemetery. Contributions: St. Vincent De Paul Church. Arrangements under the direction of Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors, Salem, Oregon.
