Mr. Hartman was born on December 7, 1958 in The Dalles, Oregon to Robert and Alice Hartman. He graduated from Salem High School. Upon graduation he joined the United States Marine Corps.
After spending over ten years in the USMC, Mr. Hartman came home to Oregon. He worked various jobs over the years and spent the last nine years as a caregiver. He married Miss Alma Nelson in 1979 and they were later divorced.
Mr. Hartman is survived by his son, Robert Rost (Kela), daughters Caroline (Kapena), Anna Marie (Shauy), and Neayella; grandchildren, Lovey, Zion, Bebe, Hanalei, Brendan, Meson, Rusco, Nathaniel, and Morgan, sister Terri Rogers, brothers Jay (Cheryl), Elvis (Kohlynn), Lyle Smith, and many nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at a later date.
