

Pat Peterson, age 80 of Dallas, Oregon, died Thursday, April 13, 2017. She was born in Arkansas and raised mostly in Oregon. She married Richard Bethell in 1966. Les had 4 children and 2 years later they had another. Truly a "his, hers and ours" family. They moved to Salem after their marriage and lived there many years before moving to Dallas in 1981. Pat was a bookkeeper for many years and stared Complete Bookkeeping in 1999. She bought Cozy Corner Café in 1991 and changed the cage to a 50's café. She sold the café in 1998. She was involved in the Dallas Boosters Club and Kinds Inc. for several years in the 1980's. She started Operation Desert Storm in 1991 during the Gulf War. Pat enjoyed her family most of all and treasured the August reunions and Xmas dinners each year with all her family. She also enjoyed reading, baking, sewing, crocheting, dancing and traveling. Survivors are: daughters Terry Peterson of Portland, Jerri Lee Lewis of Clatskanie, Lorie Wagner of Nehalem; sons John Peterson of Lincoln City, Carl (Hank) Bethell of Redmond and Jeff Peterson of Chula Vista, CA; sisters Joyce Variz of Magalia, CA, Carlyon Tipton of Berryton, KS; brother Jim Bryant of Dallas, OR; 25 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are: husband, Les Peterson; son, Rick Bethell; daughters, Tricia Bethell-Bradburry and Tammy Peterson-Stevens; grandson Daniel Peterson and brother Frank Bryant. Celebration of Life will be at Howell, Edwards, Doerksen Chapel of the Gardens, 1350 Commercial St SE, on Tuesday 4/18 at 11am.
