Richard (Dick) Earl Hamm was born November 7, 1934, in Wayne County, Nebraska to the late Clarence Earl Hamm and Hilda Wilhelmina Louise Miller. He was married on February 13, 1953, at the Grace Lutheran Church in Norfolk, Nebraska to Patricia (Pat) June Leu, daughter of the late Walter (Bunny) Ludwig Leu and Cora Julia Harter.
Dick was an avid golfer, good friend, and a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather who rarely minced his words.
Dick is survived by his four sons, Delwin (Del) Keith in Oceanside, California, Clarence Bruce and Richard (Dick) Brian in Salem, Oregon, and Theodore (Bill) William in Nicaragua and one daughter, Debra Lee in Salem, Oregon, one sister, Marcella (Marcy) Jean Schellenberg in Winside, Nebraska, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his bride, his parents and one sister, Carol Lee Ann Tegler.
