Thelma Vera Ropp was born January 26, 1919 in Redbird, Nebraska to Chester and Bessie (Wade) Wellman. She married the love of her life, Lawrence Ropp, on November 21, 1937 and they moved to Salem in 1961. They had many wonderful years together until his death in 1996. She enjoyed painting, crocheting and time with her loving family.
Thelma is preceded in death by her father, mother; and husband. She is survived by her sister, Nila Nichols, Nebraska; daughter, Carol (Wes) Linn of Redmond, OR; sons, David (Linda) Ropp, Salem, OR and Gene (Carol) Ropp, Walla Walla, WA. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson.
There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at 2:00 pm at People’s Church. Arrangements by Howell-Edwards-Doerksen with Rigdon-Ransom Funeral Directors.
