

Born on September 10, 1937 in Hotsprings, Oregon, to Wayne E. Shroll and Gertrude H.(Lanpheare) Shroll. Vazel was a lifetime Oregonian and proud resident of Dallas Oregon for 29 of her 88 years. Vazel graduated from Salem Academy High School, Class of 1955.
Vazel married Larry E. Nichols, on October of 1967 in Reno, Nevada.
They shared 58 years together. Vazel was a devoted homemaker and proud mother to her three children. She was an accomplished painter and artist who specialized in canvas and hand-painted china, often sharing her love of art by teaching others her craft.
Vazel found joy in her family, loved long car rides and cherished time with family at their cabin in the forest. Her affinity for animals included raising a pet racoon among her many other pets. Vazel was well known for her festive holiday parties and creating elaborate seasonal decorations.
She is survived by her husband Larry; her oldest daughter Betsy; her sons Mark and Kent; her two granddaughters Melissa and Bree and one great-grandson.

Vazel will be missed and held in our hearts forever.
