James Edward Peterson

Born July 27, 1927 in SLC, to Edward James Peterson and Winona Parker Parry. He married Shirley Mae Egan on Jan 11, 1947. Later solemnized in Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 3, 1964.

He graduated from West High in 1945, where he was an avid athlete and enjoyed all sports. James was a proud Marine and served his country in WWII. He loved spending time in the great outdoors, hunting and fishing with his family.

Dad loved spending every moment at his property in Fruitland, feeding his deer and other animals.

He is survived by his four children, Steve (Sharon), Kay (Sandi), Jimmy, Debbie (Mike), and daughter in law Pearl, 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren and his siblings Linda, Carolynn, Sonny, Larene, Marlene, Sandra, Lynn, Nole and Alan. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife Shirley Peterson and his son Gregory James Peterson.

Funeral Services will be held Dec 29, 2014 at Wandamere Chapel on 304 E. 2700 S. The viewing will be from 9:45 to 10:45 and the funeral will begin at 11:00 am. The grave side service will be at Wasatch Lawn 3401 S. Highland Drive.
