Jane Elizabeth Rudolph died from natural causes in her home on May 1, 2018. Born on July 24, 1954 in Laramie, Wyoming, Jane was the fourth of seven children who, along their parents, relished time spent in they Wyoming mountains.
She earned a PhD in Biology from Indiana University and did a Post doctorate work with John Hopkins before becoming a member of the faculty at Salt Lake Community College in 1998. She was profoundly dedicated to her discipline and students and retired in 2016. Jane immersed herself in art, music, poetry, mystery novels, once played the violin, was a member of Catholic and Episcopalian congregations, and had a large infectious laugh.
Jane was preceded in death by her sisters Peggy and Mary, brother Martin and both her parents She is survived by her brother Jack Rudolph and sister Sarah Rudolph who reside in Wisconsin, and a sister Theresa Kanner of Minneapolis. Her seven nieces and nephews along with their three children will miss having her in their lives. For more information, contact [email protected].
