She was born November 27, 1920 in Salt Lake City to David M. Ockey and Norma A. Ockey. She attended South High School and the University of Utah.
She married Jack M. McMurdie in Salt Lake City and after she was widowed, she married Peter G. Panos. She was a member of the LDS church.
Lucille worked for the Paris Company and that is where she won a contest that took her to Hollywood where she met many famous movie stars. She also worked in cosmetics at ZCMI. Lu had a never-ending love for all living creatures and above all else was her love for her precious “Kitties”. She enjoyed traveling with her 3 lifelong friends and her late husband, Pete. Lucille dedicated her life to her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren and was a fierce protector of her family.
She is survived by her daughter-Linda Ann Shepard (Miles), 3 grandchildren–Karl Tobias Seljaas, Lisa Linn Seljaas, Aaron David Seljaas (Georgia), 4 great grandchildren–Alec Seljaas, Delaney Seljaas, Ava Seljaas, Brittany (Seljaas) Lewis, 1 great great grandchild–Delilah.
Lucille will be warmly greeted in heaven by her parents, many friends and loved ones.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday January 27th at 1:00pm - Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park & Mortuary, 3401 Highland Dr, Salt Lake City, UT 84106.
