

Polly Mae Long, age 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 4, 2012 in Bountiful, Utah. She was born on March 2, 1921 in Hill County Texas to Tom and Bertha Clark. Polly grew up in Menard Texas. She moved to Bremerton, Washington as a young woman, where she worked in the Navy shipyard during WWII. Following the war, she married Sam Long. With their 2 children, Sharon and Johnnie, they moved to Chicago Illinois where they lived for several years. They eventually returned to Texas where Polly retired from Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo. Polly and Sam were married for 53 years. Polly spent the last 5 years of her life near her daughter in Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband Sam. She is survived by her children, Sharon (Nelson) McNally of Kaysville Utah and Johnnie (Suzanne) Long of Tupelo Mississippi. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Jo Nell Savage of Odessa Texas and Lou Ella Teague of San Angelo Texas, and by 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Polly was a faithful member of the Johnson Street Church of Christ in Texas, and the Kaysville Church of Christ in Utah. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and loved ones (as well as by Estee Lauder). Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday April 7 at Evans & Early Mortuary 574 E. 100 So. Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends may call at 10:00 am prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am at Lawn Haven Memorial Gardens, on Saturday April 14 in San Angelo Texas.
