

Roselda Louise Corbett, age 72, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully with her family by her side on August 11, 2013. Born on March 26, 1941 in Ely, Nevada to Charles Abbott and Louise A Hofheins, the third of five children. On November 21, 1963 she married the love of her life Robert N Corbett in Salt Lake City, Utah where they began their life journey together. Louise started working at Little America Hotel in 1970 where she enjoyed many years in the hospitality industry as a Supervisor in the housekeeping department. She could strike up a conversation with anyone and was very passionate about her work and all the everlasting friendships that were made. She retired from The Grand America Hotel in May 2008. Louise always looked forward to the annual family reunions in Ely, Nevada where she was surrounded by all of her family and loved ones. In 2005 her and Bob purchased a home in St. George, Utah where they would spend the winter months with close friends making many happy memories. She enjoyed Southern Utah the most and Moab was one of her favorite places to visit. She had a love for turquoise and silver jewelry and anything with a Southwestern feel from décor to Indian artifacts. Louise is survived by her three children Michael Anderson (Judy), Kenneth Corbett (Shana) and daughter Vicki Chidester (John) her sister Mary Jane Miller and Brother Melvin Abbott. She loved and welcomed all seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren whom she adored and would do anything for. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert N Corbett her mother Louise Ence Mories and brothers James and George Abbott.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday August 16th at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Mortuary located at 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah 84106. Friends and family are welcomed to visit from 12:00-1:45 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
