Barbara Elaine Jackson

Barbara Elaine (Roth) Jackson, 78, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away on March 15, 2021. Barbara was born in St. Louis, MO, on November 6, 1942. She graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School Central, Maplewood, MO. She married Bennie Bee Jackson July 13, 1963. Barbara was church secretary for Trinity Lutheran Church for 20 years before her retirement. She continued to be active in the church, supported the St. Louis Cardinals, and enjoyed crafting and sewing with her friends and family.

Barbara is survived by her three daughters, Joanna Jackson of San Angelo, TX, Jennifer and Howard Marks of Odessa, TX, and Julianne and Alex Decker of Lewisville, TX; one granddaughter, Clarissa and Nick Womack of Cross Roads, TX, and one great-granddaughter, Ollie Kaye Womack; and various cousins, nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband of more than 50 years, Bennie Bee Jackson; her two sisters, Betty Lowen and Jacqueline Boehme, both of St. Louis, MO; as well as her parents, Elmer and Hedwig Roth of St. Louis.

Viewing and visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 17, 2021.

Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at 10:00 am followed by a brief graveside service at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Barbara’s favorite color was red, please feel free to wear red in her honor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church, San Angelo, TX.

The family of Barbara Jackson wishes to thank the nurses of the Shannon Hospital ICU who took wonderful care of Barbara and her family during their time of need, as well as Barbara’s best friend Nancy Keister for her support and love.
