Billie Clark Phinney, was received into the Heavenly Kingdom. She was born March 20, 1926 to Kenneth (Pete) and Mamie Clark. Receiving her into Heaven are her parents and husband Alex Ace Phinney Jr. Billie is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law Gregory and Gary (Patsy); grandaughters Lisa Phinney, JJ (Jeremy) Hartgrove, Kimberly(Bobby) Werner; grandsons Ken ( Janet) and Matt (Janya), great-granddaughters Dylan Hartgrove, Laura Phinney, Abby, Kadie, and Lily Werner, and Cameron and Harper Phinney; great-grandsons Carson Hartgrove and William Ace Phinney. She is also survived by a sister, Joy (Larry) Johnson. Billie was the comptroller at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. for 40+years. After working all day in San Angelo she would help Ace (Pee Paw) on the farm in Mereta. They loved having family BBQ’s and having all the grand and great-grand kids playing in the pool. The granddaughters loved the “girl trips” to Abilene clothes shopping and going to San Antonio to the plays. We also went on wonderful trips for graduating high school. Billie was a hardworking, strong, and independent woman. Her greatest joys in life were Ace and her family; as well as her dogs and countless cats. Graveside services will be held at Johnson’s Lawnhaven Memorial Garden at 10:00 A.M. on Monday with brother-in-law Larry Johnson officiating. Pallbearers are; Ken, Matt and William Ace Phinney, Jeremy and Carson Hartgrove, and Bobby Werner. The family would like to thank Katie, Visiting Angels, and Hospice. We have no words that could possibly express how grateful we are to Frances, Amy, Melissa, and Mackenzie. They loved and took care of our Mimi like she was their own. We would also like to say a special thanks to Sylvia for her countless years of friendship and services. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers that memorials be sent to a charity of choice.
