I knew Boyd and Gloria through my wife’s parents, Herb and Susie Martin. They were both wonderful people.

What an amazing man Papa was!! He was always courteous, friendly, funny and a joy to be around. He loved the Lord and that was evident. So was his love of all things Longhorn :) I remember visiting with him at Laura’s house when we were young girls and stopping in at Box Printing. And then when he would come to Pearland to visit Holly (and Laura and Dwight). I’m so happy that he’s reunited with his beloved Winona.
RIP and hook ‘em horns.

Mr. Box, I didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to you and my heart broke when I discovered that you had passed away. I will always cherish our friendship and the memories of our laughs together. You had a heart of gold and a laugh to match. You will always remain in my heart. Love always “The Pill”.

What a great man. My dad sure loved his uncle and always talked about what a talented artist he was. Prayers to you all on the loss of this great man. Ronnie Wayne Butler

I meet Boyd when his daughter Laura and my son Dwight was married 31 years ago . I enjoyed many visits with him at Laura and Dwight’s home. Also at the Box reunions. He was a very special man and a great friend. I know he is up there with God and is at peace.

From the first day I married into this Box Family, Boyd and Keith, especially those two, let me know that I was family, with all the rights and privileges due me. Including the love and kidding that went along with being a member of this precious family. Family reunions with the Box Family are always full of laughter, food , love and a multitude of hugs. Miss you can not even begin to express how much he will be missed.

My heart hurts but yet I rejoice that Uncle Boyd is now with his Winona and family he missed so much. Soooooo many precious memories...listening to old long-play albums and sharing our mutual love of music with Kingston Trio, Peter, Paul and Mary and many more...his goofy stunts including doing a somersault out of Daddy’s new recliner...the man could make the goofiest faces and have everyone cracked up. Love you Unky Boyd and see ya later!!!!!
