

Chaplain LTC (Ret) Bill D. Ingram, 77. Formerly of Crane, TX, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2011 at his home in San Angelo, TX. The Funeral Service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in San Angelo, Texas on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 10:00 A.M., officiated by Reverend Ricky Burk. Interment with full military honors will be at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo, TX, immediately following the service. A viewing and visitation will take place Wednesday evening, May 4, 2011 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Bill was born September 26, 1933 in Midland, Texas to Green Berry (GB) and Ophelia Ingram. He graduated from Baylor University and Southwest Theological Seminary before becoming a Southern Baptist Minister. He joined the military in 1966 to minister to service members in Viet Nam, completing 2 Tours and over 20+ years of military service as a chaplain in the United States Army. Bill then worked as a family counselor until he finally retired in the 1990’s.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Martin Ingram and Green Berry Ingram Junior and his sister Lois Dalton. He is survived by his wife Frieda Ingram, his three sons, Mark Jay and Scott Ingram and step children Judy Pridemore, Walter Hanusch and Janette Doyle; and many grand and great grand children.
In lieu of flowers, Bill wished that family and friends contribute to either the Disabled Army Veterans or the United Methodist Community on Relief(UMCOR).
