Daisy Layne Talley

Daisy graduated from Knox City High School and then married Maurice Talley, the love of her life, and they shared nearly 67 years together. Daisy loved baking, antiquing, and crocheting. She and Maurice would go fishing every Monday together. Daisy was known for her quick wit and frankness, and for her fierce love of her grandchildren.

The family is most grateful to the caring staff at Senior Care for the love shown to Daisy.

Daisy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Maurice, sons Mike and Tommy, and grandson Michael. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Robert and Becky Talley of San Angelo, son and daughter-in-law Paul Allen and Pam Walker Talley of San Angelo, daughters-in-law Clara Talley and Sherry Shepperson Talley of San Angelo, Susan Winkler Talley of Warren, TX, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren: Todd Talley of San Angelo, Drew Talley of Austin, his wife Stephanie, and children Will, Elizabeth, and Luke, Shay Talley of Christoval, Tiffany Talley of San Angelo, Amy Talley Davenport of Midland, her husband Jed, and children Mattye, and Hayden, Allyson Talley Steele of San Angelo, her husband Chris, and children Sutton, Caroline, and Trey, Emily Talley of San Angelo, Mike Talley of Lumberton, TX, and Tom Talley of Warren, TX.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth Gartman, Joe Roach, Johnny Talley, and all of her grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Rust Street Ministries or a charity of your choice.

Graveside service is at 10:00AM Saturday, March 7, in Robert Lee Cemetery with Tommy King and Bill Roach officiating. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home.
