Daniel Ybarra Arambula, 70, of San Angelo, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021. He was born on February 11, 1951 in San Angelo, TX to Jose and Simona Arambula. Daniel attended Edison Junior High School. He later went on to obtain a certification from Texas A&M. Daniel then began his career in Recreation, working for the City of San Angelo as a Supervisor of Recreation Department. Daniel married Norma Pena on October 21, 1968 and had one child. Daniel was a proud member of River City Baptist Church and the Joy of Jesus Christ Center and had a passion for being a deacon and helping people. Daniel will always be remembered for his carpentry, drawings and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents Jose and Simona Arambula and his brothers Augustin, Samuel, Henry, Juan, Robert and Eddie Arambula. Daniel is survived by his wife Norma Arambula, daughter Corina Castaneda, his only granddaughter Chentel Mia Castaneda, brothers Joe Arambula of California and Richard Arambula of Garland Dallas, TX, sisters Celia Ascension of Fort Worth, TX and Adelina Kihntopf of San Antonio, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Johnson’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a memorial donation in Daniel’s name to Norma Arambula. The family would also like to thank Nichole Hernandez and Mary Lopez of St. Gabriel’s Hospice.
