Donald was born April 10, 1934, in San Angelo, Texas. He was the son of William Ray McLaughlin and Velma Garner McLaughlin. Donald was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Nora R. Boswell and Ann Billings.
Don is survived by his sister, Phyllis Gay Grauke and husband Clyde; nephews, Travis Billings, Steve Boswell, David Boswell, and Kevin Grauke; nieces, Lezlie Bargsley and Heather Grauke; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Upon graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Don moved to Dallas, Texas, where he lived for the rest of his life. During his working career he worked for the accounting firm of Arthur Anderson, Teledyne Merla, and Haliburton.
Don’s greatest ambition was to travel the world, and he accomplished this by visiting over 50 countries during his lifetime. He was a lifelong patron of the Dallas Symphony, as well as other Dallas arts.
A Graveside service for Donald will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Fairmount Cemetery, 1120 West Avenue N, San Angelo, Texas.
