

Donna Elaine Orr, 62, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. She was born on January 23, 1964, in San Antonio, Texas to John Neimeier and Irene Sloan. Donna graduated from Winston Churchill High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Donna spent her life in several different states including Texas, Florida, and Maryland in various jobs providing customer and project support, and teaching. Donna paid great attention to detail, and especially enjoyed completing a project and seeing the results of her hard work. Her most recent job was managing a game room in San Angelo. Donna also loved to cook and bake. During the holidays, she loved being the host and inviting family for her famous homemade lasagna and german chocolate cake.
Donna was preceded in passing by her father John Neimeier, mother Irene Sloan, stepfather Marshall Eugene (Gene) Sloan, and many special aunts, uncles, and friends. She leaves behind a host of family and close friends who will miss her dearly. Left to cherish her memory are her children Reece Orr, Emily Orr, and husband Terrill; sister Sandy Sanchez, and husband Richard; niece Erin Sanchez; nephew Kris Sanchez, and wife Gina; stepmother Joy Neimeier; stepsiblings Vicki Hurst, David Lloyd, and wife Kandi, and Lynda Lloyd.
A special thank you to St. Gabriel’s Hospice who cared for Donna the past few years, and most recently, the nurses and staff at Shannon Hospital and Hospice of San Angelo. Meagan, Molly, and Melody provided care, compassion, and friendship to Donna that was genuine. Donna treasured the relationships with her caregivers who so generously gave her their time, support, and love.
Donations in Donna’s memory to any organization that supports animal welfare are appreciated. The family will have a private memorial at a later date.
