

Mrs. Elaine Phillips Garrett of San Angelo and formerly of Lubbock and Midland went to be with the Lord where she received her new body on Sunday, March 5, 2017 in San Angelo, Texas. Graveside Services will be on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. in Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock, TX directed by Johnson's Funeral Home. Mrs. Garrett formerly worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Lubbock and Midland and retired in Midland on March 1, 1983. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Vota Veta Sunday School Class, Baptist Memorial Auxiliary, and the Literary Review Club. She had been a residents of Baptist Memorial Division 5 for over 10 years. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving caregivers and friends Cindy Trammell and Vernon Pruett both of San Angelo; cousins Anna and husband Wayne Browten of Granbury, TX. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Frank T. Garrett of Lubbock and by her parents Claude G. Phillips and Lena McKenzie. A special word of appreciation is extended to the loving and caring staff of Baptist Memorial Nursing Home for all of the support given to Mrs. Garrett during her stay with you all. The family would also like to extended a special word of appreciation to Hospice of San Angelo and Debra Webb, the love and compassion you have shown to our love one will never be forgotten. A memorial service will be held at Baptist Memorial Chapel the date and time will be announced at a later date.
