Elisa D. Carrillo, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, in San Angelo, Texas.Rosary is at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Johnson's Funeral Home chapel. Funeral Mass is at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with burial following in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Raymond DeLeon Jr., Efraim Puente, Joe Acosta Jr., Danny Cardenas, Christian Cardenas and Seth Scott.Elisa was born June 21, 1927, in Marlin, Texas, to Maria Castellano and Julian DeLeon. She was married to Francisco Carrillo on Feb. 1, 1954, in San Angelo, Texas. She worked 22 years at Shannon Medical Center as a housekeeper and retired in 1992. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph's Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and gardening. She will be remembered by her loving ways, helpfulness and always bringing laughter to all who encountered her.Elisa was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Diaz; stepfather Jose Diaz; father Julian DeLeon; sons Frank and Manuel Carrillo; husband Francisco Carrillo; and brothers Natividad DeLeon, Raymond DeLeon and Felipe DeLeon.Survivors include daughter Elvira Mejia; brother Julian DeLeon Jr.; sisters Severa Acosta, Virginia Ramirez, Maria Sanchez, Catherine Puente and Janie Cardenas; grandchildren Robert Garcia and wife Marina, Corinne Ponce, Raquel Garcia and Diane Garcia; great-grandchildren Tiffany and Roger Charette, Lauren Sanchez, Sarah Scott, Sabrina and Jordan Cardena, Seth Scott, Christian Cardenas, Isabella Garcia, Bella Galvan and Jadyn Gonzalez.The family wishes to thank Gentiva Hospice, and all family members and friends who helped support us in our time of sorrow.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Church.
