Elizabeth Mary Burress

Elizabeth Mary Burress passed away January 2, 2015 at Regency House is San Angelo. She was born April 4, 1923 in Much Hadam, England to Henry and Florence Warwick. She is survived by her five children: Trundol (Dale) and Penny Watson of San Angelo, Leland Watson of Christoval, Priscilla and Bill Clarke of Albany New York, Sandra and Larry Schmidedekamp of Wall and William and Sandra Watson of San Angelo. Elizabeth is also survived by siblings Fred Warwick, Maureen Cavill, Albert Warwick, all of eastern England. Grandchildren: Dale Edward Watson, Steven Watson, Kim Edwards, Brooke Watson, Sandra Fuller, Brandon Watson, Lawrence Watson, Michelle Boyton, Patrick McMillan, Lance Schmidedekamp, Tori Wallace and twenty great grandchildren.Elizabeth met her first husband RQ Watson in England and was married May 5, 1944. She departed England on July 30, 1946 for America on the USAT Edmond A. Alexander. Elizabeth and RQ were divorced in August, 1962. She married Larry Burress in June 1965 and lived in San Angelo until 1969 when they moved to Christoval. Together they ran the Texaco All in One Stop until 1979 when they moved to Brackettville, Texas. Returning to Christoval in 1982, where they lived until Larry's death in September 2000. Elizabeth resided in the Regency House since November 2005, following a stroke.We would like to thank the Regency House and their very caring personnel for their many years of devoted attention to our beloved Elizabeth. We would like to also thank Gentiva Hospice for their assistance.Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Johnson's Funeral Home. A Chapel service will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 for 10 a.m. at Johnson's Funeral Home
