Elsie was born on December 7, 1941 to Benjamin Ramirez Gonzalez and Guadalupe Ball Gonzalez of Sanderson, Texas. Elsie married the love of her life, Eugene S. Lara on December 12, 1959. Elsie and Eugene were married for 60 love filled years. Elsie had many jobs over her lifetime. She was a homemaker, house cleaner, care-taker, and seamstress, but her favorite and most important job was being a loving mother and grandmother. Elsie will always be remembered for her larger than life love of her friends and family, and her strong faith in God.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents Benjamin and Guadalupe Gonzalez, Daughter, Deborah Sue Gonzales, and Grandson, Aaron Lara. Elsie is survived by her children, Gene Lara, Gary Lara, Maria Lara, Martha Motl, and Brynda Beeman; grandchildren, Gina Lara, Gary Lara Jr., Kyndall Lara, Brittany Taylor, William Haynie, and Todd Puckett; great-grandchildren, Gary Lara III, West Puckett, and Ashlin Flanagan; brothers and sisters, Amelia Gonzalez, David and Maria Gonzalez, and Ben and Tina Gonzalez, as well as many nieces and nephews.
