Father God, in Jesus' name comfort the family and relatives at this time and renew their strength and faith in you. Let them know they are Loved and you are there with them at all times, meeting their needs.  I pray for complete healing within their hearts over the death of their son/husband. Peace be still. Thank you Jesus for taking care of them. Amen!

I was a member of a small group of guys (Others included Cliff R, Jerry E, Jimmy M, Randy B, and Paul G) who ran around with Gary at Central High School in San Angelo back in the fall of 1984-spring/summer 1985. I was a senior and he was a junior. Gary was one of those people that made an immediate impression on you. He brought a Dallas swagger to sleepy little San Angelo. At the time, he seemed a larger than life figure. He dressed cooler than we did (Heck- we had never heard of Guess Jeans before), he used some expressions that we all adopted and he had a confidence with the ladies that rubbed off on us. Our group shared some good times partying together!  We all went our separate ways shortly before the end of the school year (due to girlfriends and college), and I only saw him maybe once after that.  Gary had a quick wit and a lust for life, and I was saddened to hear about his passing.

Gary was my best friend i'll NEVER forget him nothing can cure my pain I lost my buddy but I got my memories nobody can take them I will see you later I know that he will open the gate to heaven n show me the way. ,

Gary was and always will be one of the most amazing men I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He was an example of what a good, giving, and hardworking man should be. I feel so blessed to have been able to make so many memories with him in such a short period of time. The love he had for Leo was/is the love he had for anyone who was in her life. It was so strong, it came out his pores. 

Gary, It's still so hard to wrap my head around all of this... I'm still waiting for you to come into town so we can meet up at the usual spot, laugh non stop (like AWLAYS), and give Jade that cheesy smile of yours that light her up. Please watch over your little "mamacita" as you leave her (as well as others) missing you like crazy. Rest in peace Uncle Gary. Thank you for being everything I had ever wanted in a Godfather for my daughter.  Xoxo

So incredibly SORRY  Mary and the Family for your loss.  Even though I last spoke to Gary in the 80's.  It is still very saddening!  

Growing up with Gary on the same street "Woodstone" and hanging out at Thunderbird skating rink and competing on the same speed skating team , their were many memories !

I'm not sure how I first met Gary...might have been Thunderbird Roller Rink.  But that was it.  We were friends instantly all through the end of elementary going up into High School.  Gary was smart...that's why he was so funny!  And he was bold.  Always the one entertaining us and pushing the boundaries.  He was one of those people that just drew everyone around him in.  We lost touch after High School...but I think of him often...he was a BIG part of my younger years!  I'm sad to know he is gone from this world, but so happy and honored to have known and loved him.  RIP Gary.  You are in our hearts always.  xoxo

He was a driver with my husband at Terminal Mov. in Jacksonville NC .. My husband and brother in law thought the world of him .. My husbands name is Eddie Smith and brother in laws name is Pete Smith .. He was a good man and a very nice and caring man.. and he always treated me and my girls with kindness ..He was a mess ...lol.. Hes gunna be missed for sure round Terminal Moving...

So tough on the outside but so caring on the inside. Many found memories. Little Gary was part of our family. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Mary, I am so sorry for your loss. I only met Gary once when he was probably still a teenager. I do know how much you talked about him when we worked together those many years ago, and I know how very much you loved him. God's mercy and blessings to you during this difficult time.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Gary a few times, one of these times was when he took all the ladies out to lunch.  He was a very kind, thoughtful and gentle man. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
