George Edward Dunn "The Model A Man"

George was born on December 13, 1936 in San Angelo, Texas to the late Frances Bird Dunn Miller and Edgar G.W. Dunn. He was the eldest of 5 children. George attended Lake View High School and later obtained his GED. George was saved at 17 years of age and baptized at Bethel Baptist Church in San Angelo, TX.

George had 1 daughter Deborah (Debbie) Diann Dunn.

George married the “love of his life” Anna Belle Fletcher on September 5, 1980. They were married 43 years.

George was a jack of all trades but he was a Master Mechanic. George worked for Goodyear as a Shop Mechanic for 17 years and drove truck for 13 years. George retired from Goodyear after 30 years. George loved rebuilding old cars, his pride and joy was his Model A. He was known as the Model A man. George was a member of Wool Capitol Region AACA car club for over 20 years.

George is survived by his wife Anna Belle Dunn, daughter Deborah (Debbie) Diann Dunn, sister Carol Ann Schlather, brother Richard Dunn and wife Patsy and sister-in-law Patsy Dunn. Also Anna Belle’s daughters Pam Castellano and husband August and Rhonda White and husband Afton. He was preceded in death by sister Geraldine Hoover and brother Harold D. Dunn. George had 8 grandchildren, Megan Nicole Okerstrom and husband Kevin Gill Okerstrom, Stephanie Ann Turnbow and husband Hunter Turnbow, Melanie Conant and husband Dustin Conant, Danielle Epure and husband Justin Epure, Mallory Tozier and husband James Tozier, Hailey Hatcher and husband Nick Hatcher, Jason Castellano and wife Deniesse Castellano and Justin Castellano and wife Eleanor Castellano, 16 great grandchildren, Sadie Dru Okerstrom, Kamden Gill Okerstrom, Kooper George Okerstrom (named after his Paw Paw George) their saying was always “from this George to that George, I love you to the moon and back”, Hughston Lee Turnbow, Alannah Castellano, Austin Jason (AJ) Castellano, Zev Castellano, Amari Castellano, Ace Castellano, Carson Conant, Conner Conant, Evelyn Epure, Kendall Epure, Cordelia Epure, Charlie Hatcher and Keaton Hatcher and numerous nieces and nephews.

George and Annabelle are members of Calvary Baptist Church on Armstrong in San Angelo, Texas.

Services will be held at Calvary Baptist Church 2321 Armstrong St., San Angelo, TX on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Turnbow, Kevin Okerstrom, Jason Castellano, Nick Hatcher, Rick Adney and John Adney.

Viewing will begin Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 8:00 a.m.
