Kathryn Berry Baker

Kathryn Berry Baker, 73, died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, in Lebanon, N.H. Kathy was born Feb. 1, 1940, in Chilicothe, Mo., to Bill and Sammie Jo Hays Berry. She attended college at Ithaca College in Ithaca, N.Y.. On March 29, 1958, she married Pat Baker. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Sammie Jo; and her, son Michael Baker. Kathy is survived by her husband, Pat; daughters Caroline O'Connor and husband Joe and Jody Cochran and husband Larry, all of San Antonio; and siblings Bill Berry and wife Suzanne, Jody Armstrong and husband Bill and Nancy Walker and husband Roger. Kathy also leaves behind a generation of grandchildren as well, Kathryn O'Connor, Clara O'Connor, Julia O'Connor, Hays Cochran, Caroline Cochran and Allie Cochran. Kathy was known for her elegance and her love of gardens and houses. All those who were lucky enough to be her family or friend knew her warm heart, quick sympathy and wonderful sense of humor. She was always open to new enthusiasms and discoveries, most recently through her work on the board of the Green Mountain Academy in Manchester, Vt. Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, in Fairmount Cemetery. Rather than sending flowers, the family requests that you donate to your favorite charity .
