Kitty Marie Leftwich, 64, of San Angelo, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022. She was born on April 25, 1958 in Barbourville, Kentucky to Patricia Jackson and later adopted by Bill and Ruth Owen. Kitty attended Herlong High School and graduated in the class of 1978. She later went on to obtain her Bachelors from Howard College then began her career in Nursing, working for Shannon Medical Center as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Kitty married Raymond Leftwich on October 21, 1978 and had 2 children. She was a member of the Freedom Through Vigilance Association and the Heritage Committee and had a passion for making different kinds of crafts out of molds. Kitty will always be remembered for her crafts she created. She is preceded in death by her adoptive parents Euval “Bill” Owen and Ruth Owen. Those left to cherish her memory are her birth mother Patricia Jackson, her husband Raymond J. Leftwich, her sister Laura Mills and husband Merrill, her brothers Kenneth Jackson and wife Rena and Michael Jackson and wife Edna, her sons Raymond F. Leftwich II and wife Sara and Brian W. Leftwich, her grandchildren Tyler F. Leftwich, Caitlynn F. Leftwich and Mason F. Leftwich and her niece and nephew Shaylynn Ryan and Liam Ryan. A celebration of Kitty’s life will be held at a later date. Pallbearers will be Paula Leftwich, Peggy Leftwich Ryan, Ray Leftwich II, Brian Leftwich, Sara Leftwich, Tyler Leftwich, Sara Beth Ericson and Rhonda Leftwich. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kenneth Jackson, Michael Jackson and Laura Mae Mills. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a memorial donation to your favorite charity.
